The Rowan Guest House Group was established with a simple aim: to provide comfortable, affordable accommodation in the heart of Inverness, run by people who care about their guests. Over the years, we’ve welcomed travellers from across the world including families on holiday, solo backpackers, business visitors, wedding guests, walkers, cyclists and those beginning or ending a journey around the Highlands. Many of them return time and again, which is one of the greatest compliments we could receive.

As locals, we care deeply about the Highlands and the community we live in. We aim to support local businesses and provide guests with genuine recommendations, from the best nearby coffee shops to lesser-known local spots.

We’ve seen Inverness evolve over the years, growing into a vibrant city while still retaining its charm and heritage, and we love helping visitors discover it for themselves.

Our location also allows us to support local events and festivals throughout the year, such as music concerts, Highland games, art exhibitions and cultural celebrations. Guests often ask us what’s happening during their stay, and quite often, there’s something special just around the corner.
